More Things - Commercial sites

One of the fun Things I got into while I was away from an 80 hour power outage at Little Marais, is a commercial NBC TV Network site for "The Office". Now I am an employee of the Duluth Branch of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.

Check it out and get yourself hired.

My point is, the site uses many of the tools we are exploring, not all of them as user-friendly as some of you are doing. And, it's wildly successful as a commercial site.

Wow! You've changed your blog template. It wildly attractive. Love the lighthouse and the look. Very Cool!

Thanks,
Still looking for a wider body layout. Of course, the lighthouse template should be compatible with my seasonal job at Split Rock.

I widened the area in my template from Pyzam. You should be able to do it too. It involved widening out the header and footer, then was able to widen the post column. I think my assistant wrote down where the changes were made, if so I will e-mail the info to you.

I played around awhile Saturday, and other times, with copying and pasting html code in the layouts. Also spent more time with services that convert/clone WordPress templates. One thing I haven't done yet is create another blog on blogspot, as I did on WordPress, where I can test more without fear of losing things I want to keep in the public.

Weather certainly interrupts my process. Constant power surges yesterday. Heavy snow all day tomorrow. Who knows whether we'll be smoking up the house again with all the freezer food we'll have to cook?

Linda asked me about the changes I made in my blog template. The items I changed are in my blog post, Thing 24,
23 Things with LuLu. It was easier than I anticipated. Good luck.

Pam? I see that name on your photo.
That is a beautiful seascape of Hawaii. I have tried some photos of my own on various attempts with html.

Yesterday's attempt at a wider main section sent the side bar to the lower right.

Thanks for the comment.
